Livonia Cares was formed by a network of over 30 local Christian churches united by their mission to provide emergency assistance. From utility bills and food insecurity to housing and medical crises, they work tirelessly to address urgent needs within the Livonia city limits. Through partnerships with social service agencies, St. Vincent de Paul, and the city government, Livonia Cares ensures that help is readily available for those facing life’s hardest moments.
Director Linda Hollman of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, who has been leading the organization for over a decade, shares, “It brings me great joy to know we can minister to people in their time of need and show love in a Christian way.”
With limited but impactful funds, Livonia Cares provides assistance when other resources fall short. Beyond emergency relief, local congregations also extend holiday outreach, like grocery distributions paired with warm meals and listening ears.
