Our agency is on a mission to raise $1,000 to support teens and adults with disabilities with autism in social and job skills. Living & Learning is a remarkable organization that seeks to address the current employment deficit faced by adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Living & Learning Enrichment Center offers on the job training addressing: interviewing, greeting others, appropriate behavior on the job, problem solving, and essential social skills with colleagues and customers. As noted by the founder of this remarkable organization, Rachelle Vartanian, who has a son with special needs herself, the workplace becomes even less embracing of individuals with special needs as they grow older. “Rachelle’s story of sacrifice has truly moved us. We learned that she quit her steady job to become a special education teacher, and devote her life to helping people with special needs gain independence and lead happy lives.”
We are raising funds to support Living & Learning with the coaching and facilitation program so they can help teens and adults with special needs overcome challenges such as social skills deficits, repetitive behaviors, and narrow areas of interest.
