We are embracing our commitment to helping the community by donating $10 in your name to help provide refuge to stray, injured, and forgotten animals. The Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society (MACS) works to provide humane education while actively initiating affirmative legislative action.
In 2016, MACS investigated 895 cruelty complaints, providing shelter, veterinary care and pet adoption services to thousands of animals, never turning an animal in need away. With the help of their two rescue vans on the streets of Detroit five days a week, hundreds of animal rescues, pick-ups, and cruelty investigations are able to happen each year. “We believe that every animal deserves to be treated like everyone else. No animal deserves suffering or mistreatment and we are here to fix it.”
