Our agency’s mission is to lend a hand to local organizations impacting lives in our communities. Right now, we are supporting Blessings in a Backpack, an organization that provides backpacks full of nutritional meals to kids at risk of hunger.
Did you know that there are over 4,200 students in Livonia Public Schools eligible for free or reduced lunches? This means that many of them do not receive sufficient meals or nutrition on the weekend either. The unfortunate result is that many students return to school on Mondays tired and hungry and are unable to concentrate or care about their studies.
“Hunger can cause many physical health problems, shorten a child’s attention span, lower their IQ, and keep them from making good grades. Our goal is to raise $1,500 to continue feeding kids in our community so they can learn and thrive.”
