Work Opportunities for Adults with Disabilities

We had the wonderful opportunity of donating $600 to the MI Cookie Project on behalf of our customers who provided us with a recommendation. We are inspired by the mission of this organization and can’t wait to see the many lives that they will continue changing! #AgentsofChangeMovement

Our agency’s mission is to lend a hand to local organizations impacting lives in our communities. Right now, we are supporting MI Cookie Project, an organization that provides skills and purpose to individuals with developmental disabilities, while informing the community that they can work and contribute to society.

81% of individuals with disabilities in the State of Michigan are unemployed. At MI Cookie Project the individuals bake cookies from start to finish and are then sold at local community gatherings. While the sales of the cookies cover the costs of the supplies and ingredients, MI Cookie Project needs additional funding to cover other expenses.

“We learned that their goal is get their own place so they can expand and grow, and will need funds to purchase a convection oven and cover liability insurance for the workers. We are on a mission to raise $1,500 to lend a hand to this outstanding organization and strive to continue working hard so that individuals with disabilities have more opportunities to excel.”
